WHY I'M RUNNING

Hillsboro is growing and changing. The decisions we make today will shape our city for decades to come.

I’m running for City Council because I believe Hillsboro deserves thoughtful, practical leadership—leadership that listens to residents, looks carefully at the facts, and makes decisions with the long-term interests of our community in mind.

I want to help make sure growth works for the people who already call Hillsboro home while creating opportunity for the generations who come next.

I am not running to tell Hillsboro what its future should be. I am running to listen, to learn, and to help build that future together.

THE FUTURE OF HILLSBORO

CAN WE MAKE HILLSBORO THE HEALTHIEST CITY IN OREGON?

“Healthy” means more than health care.

It means:

HEALTHY PEOPLE
HEALTHY NEIGHBORHOODS
A HEALTHY ECONOMY
A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT
HEALTHY GOVERNMENT

Hillsboro has tremendous opportunities ahead. It also faces important challenges that require thoughtful decisions and responsible leadership.

We should not simply react to growth after decisions have already been made.

We should thoughtfully shape the future of our city.

Through my work on the Hillsboro Police Chief’s Advisory Committee, I’ve seen how important it is for leaders to listen carefully, understand community concerns, and make decisions rooted in real experience.

The Four Pillars

TURNING VISION INTO ACTION

If I want to help make Hillsboro the Healthiest City in Oregon, I need to focus on the things that matter most to the people who live here.

These four pillars are the foundation of how I think about our city, our responsibility to one another, and our future.

PROTECTION

Safe streets, sound infrastructure, and responsible oversight.

WELL-BEING

Housing stability, access to care, and the opportunity for families to build healthy, stable lives.

HEALTHY COMMUNITIES

Land, water, air, farms, and protecting what we borrow from the next generation.

POSITIVE GOVERNANCE

Measurable information, clear communication, and listening openly to the people affected.

These four pillars are the foundation of how I think about our city, our responsibility to one another, and our future.

Accountability

Public decisions
belong in public view.

Good governance is not a slogan — it is a process. Define the problem, gather the evidence, publish the analysis, then measure whether the outcome matched the promise.

That means budget assumptions written plainly, project timelines residents can check, and follow-up reviews when results fall short.

Hillsboro works when residents do.
